With the intention of developing you as a fully informed practitioner, this HND course seeks to enhance your managerial abilities and refine your interpersonal skills. This programme is ideal for those who are working towards a career within tour operations, attraction management, or airline services. Through a combination of theoretical study and practical work experience, you will have access to a range of module topics in areas such as: • Global Sustainable Tourism • The Contemporary Travel and Tourism Industry • Global Tourism Destinations Designed To emphasise the importance of employability, this course also offers you the opportunity to apply your industry knowledge to existing travel-related companies. The programme includes course trips to relevant facilities and businesses within the travel and tourism industry, as well as a variety of talks from guest speakers appropriate to the subject area. Students will have the opportunity to gain the ILM Certificate in Leadership and Management, which is highly regarded by industry. Many of our students choose to enrol on final-year degree programmes at Loughborough College in related areas, such as our BA (Hons) Tourism Management (Top-Up) Degree, with the aim of attaining a full BA (Hons) Degree after 12 months of study. Our graduates have gained employment within the travel and tourism industry in a variety of areas, including destination planning, travel writing, attractions, and agency supervision.
