    The travel and tourism industry is one of the world’s largest industries. There are a vast amount and diversity of employment opportunities available in the UK and around the world; working for airlines, hotels, travel agencies, tour operators, cruise liners hospitality and events management teams. This course will prepare you for a career in the dynamic and exciting travel and tourism industry. Whether you are new to the industry or have experience of working in a related organisation, this HND will improve your career prospects. With a global focus, this course provides a thorough grounding in travel and tourism principles at both an operational and strategic level. The emphasis is on developing the practical skills necessary to fulfil a variety of managerial positions within the industry. You will explore key issues and challenges facing the industry; with particular emphasis on tourism production and consumption, sustainability and ethics, globalisation and intercultural dimensions, recognising the role that travel and tourism plays in addressing these issues.
