    Overview The Jazz Studies curriculum at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette focuses on mastering the jazz language of improvisation, music theory, music arranging, studio recording, and "real world" performing experience. Key Features Our graduates have performed with such diverse musicians as Trombone Shorty, Steve Riley and the Mamou Playboys, Lil’ Nathan and the Zydeco Big Timers, Givers, and the Glen Miller Orchestra.This is a branch of the performance concentration in which you can specializes in the jazz idiom of performance.
