    Overview Program FeaturesThe Panama Canal, the economic embargo of Cuba, NAFTA, the preservation of the Amazon rainforests and drug trafficking are just a few of the many subjects consuming the imaginations, interests and energies of U.S. business people, politicians, students — and even tourists.Knowledge of Latin America and the region’s relationship to the United States is becoming ever more indispensable to students interested in issues of bilingualism in secondary education, international trade and finance, foreign affairs, diplomatic history, modern foreign languages and more.The Latin American and Caribbean Studies program of Albright College is a broad cross-program “interdisciplinary” approach to studying Latin American and Caribbean Studies, that aims to develop graduates who are well-versed in both theory and practice.Combine Latin American and Caribbean Studies with a separate co-major to integrate knowledge of Latin America with another topic — such as economics, political science or education.     1ApplicationInternational students are required to submit an original secondary school transcript; a copy of the transcript with an official school seal; or a notarized copy of the transcript. An up-to-date transcript includes grades for the last four years of school as well as a listing of courses, exams, marks and certificates in progress.Students whose native language is not English are required to submit results from any one of the following tests: TOEFL, IELTS, SAT, ACTAn international applicant is required to have a financial sponsor complete the Certification of Finances form and submit a bank statement issued within the past six months. Both the Certification of Finances and supporting bank statement must show that the sponsor is willing to pay and can afford the cost of the student’s education.
