Level 3 Business

Course Overview

If you're looking to take the business world by storm, or form your own start-up, this is the course for you. An exciting and dynamic two-year programme, it covers all aspects of business including marketing, digital, the economy, event management and finance. On this course you will develop the skills to become a valuable employee in the rapidly changing business world, or to go on to higher level study. Either way, we'll equip you with the business toolkit needed to make your mark. During your first year you will complete a Level 3 Foundation Diploma, and from here, in your second year you can progress to the Level 3 Extended Diploma. This is an A-Level equivalent course, giving you the UCAS points needed to progress into higher education, or the experience and knowledge required to start seeking employment.

What will I learn?

We'll take you under the skin of business and prepare you to be a successful professional. You'll learn about the key ingredients for business success, innovation and enterprise, and discover how to build creative marketing campaigns, analyse profitability, and manage successful events. You'll discover how businesses across the globe adapt to the continual changes around them in order to remain successful.

You'll also hone the professional skills employers look for including communication, problem solving, teamwork, time-management and the power of a positive outlook.

Entry Requirements

> 4 GCSEs at grade 9-4 (A*-C) including English and maths.
> Merit or Distinction in a related subject at Level 2.
> A good reference.
> A satisfactory interview.

1. Use your full name not a shortened version, i.e. 'Thomas' rather than 'Tom'
2. If possible, do not use your school email. We will send you important emails in July and August about your course and how to enrol, and you may not be able to access them from your school email
3. Provide your predicted grades – this enables the Admissions Team to assess your application to make sure you have applied for the correct level of course
4. If you are under 18 provide us with a parent/guardian contact with telephone number and email
5. Only apply for one course – if you wish to apply for a second one, please email [email protected] and we will add the course to your existing application
6. If you have previously applied or studied at the College and are applying with a different name or address to the one we have our records from that time, please email [email protected] with the details so we can match up your old record to you current application
