    Overview The knowledge and skills developed in the Liberal Studies - Interdisciplinary Studies in Culture and Society program of California State University Los Angeles prepares students for careers in fields such as education, law, journalism, publishing, government, business, and non-profit work.In addition to the 48 units of General Education Requirements, 18 units of Liberal Studies core requirements and 9 units of Liberal Studies breadth courses, students in Option I must complete 48 units, of which, 24 units in one or two depth areas (listed below), and 24 units of free electives.
