    About

Overview Great marketers all have two important things in common—they create messages that move people to take action, and they spend time listening and engaging with their clients to create the perfect marketing campaign. In a rapidly changing industry, your marketing education needs to be as up-to-date as possible, yet grounded in traditional marketing principles. You also need substantial experience in the field to learn, practice and master the full spectrum of marketing tools and approaches. Integrated Business ExperienceIn addition to developing your expertise in marketing, the Robert P. Stiller School of Business not only prepares you exceptionally well but also gives you a four-year, cross-business education that answers the marketplace demand for business school graduates with demonstrable knowledge, skills and hands-on experience in all the disciplines that make up the field of business. Learn more about our Integrated Business Experience. Client-Based, Hands-On LearningWorking with current businesses, you'll explore the fluid nature of marketing communication, advertising and brand promotion in an ever-changing media landscape. You'll plan and implement campaigns, and learn how to reach consumers and motivate them to act. Additionally, along with all other Stiller School students, in your first year you will explore the world of business, learn where marketing fits in a successful business, and work directly with clients to help them address marketing challenges. As you get deeper into the Marketing program from Champlain College, you'll continue to expand your knowledge through "living" case studies and project-based learning in the classroom.Scholarship for Studying AbroadWe designed the curriculum of our majors to support a semester of international study. You can choose to take your international study at our campus in Montreal, Canada, or in Dublin, Ireland, or virtually anywhere in the world through one of our third-party programs. Marketing students wanting to complete an internship while abroad and need financial assistance have the opportunity to apply for the Sarah Ramsey '12 Strong Scholarship during their sophomore, junior or senior years. Stiller School of Business has received a prestigious grant from the Freeman Foundation, allowing nearly 100 students to travel to Shanghai, China, and other countries in Asia to complete a summer internship. This opportunity provided our students with the chance to gain both international and professional work experience, as well as valuable cultural and language skills-with little out of pocket expense. Learn more about the Freeman Foundation Grant.InternshipsOur Marketing faculty members have built an extensive list of exciting local internships over many years. Each site has been visited, and each organization has a strong working relationship with the College. Your Career Advisor will work with you on your resume and help you target the internship sites to best match your goals.
