    About

The Master of Accounting offered by Flinders Business provides an option for students from a non-accounting background to pursue a career in this area.

If you have completed a non-accounting degree, the Master of Accounting provides you with a study program that fulfils the requirements to commence a professional accounting career.

Flinders Business offers teaching excellence, our academic staff being regular recipients of teaching awards.

At Flinders we value our students, and this is reflected in the consistently high ranking we receive from our students through a number of teaching evaluation methods. Another reason is our small class sizes, which ensure that you can really engage with the person leading the learning while also getting to know your fellow students. Studying with Flinders Business opens you up to many networking opportunities, and the teamwork and interaction promoted in these programs will help you to develop life-long friendships and professional acquaintances.

The degree offers the right balance of practice and theory to prepare you for a successful career as an accounting or business professional. Topics cover areas such as accounting fundamentals, information systems and accounting processes, quantitative methods, economics for business, management and cost accounting, principles of commercial law, financial accounting issues, financial management, corporate accounting, auditing and assurances, and business research methods. A topic in academic skills for business is specifically aimed at postgraduate students from non-English speaking backgrounds.
