About the course The fast-track course consists of 12 units, completed over 18 months, and the full program for students from a non-cognate background consists of 16 units completed over 24 months. Entry to the program is available in either semester. The degree is offered by Agricultural and Resource Economics group located within the UWA School of Agriculture and Environment. The UWA Agricultural and Resource Economics group is one of Australia's top ranked research groups in the field of Agricultural and Resource Economics, and teaching is lead by staff with expertise in: agricultural policy analysis, bioeconomic modelling, environmental economics, consumer demand analysis, production efficiency analysis, water economics, development economics, and many other areas of applied economics, including technology adoption, the design of agri-environmental schemes, the use of non-market valuation techniques, agribusiness analysis, international trade.

Admission Requirements To be considered for admission to this course an applicant must have—(a) a Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent qualification, as recognised by UWA; and(b) the equivalent of a UWA weighted average mark of at least 50 per cent; and(c) completed prior studies at a tertiary level with significant content in economics, statistics/econometrics or mathematics ; or in a related cognate discipline, as recognised by UWA.
