    Bond’s Master of Building Surveying equips you with the advanced knowledge as well as professional and technical skill sets to become a specialist in areas such as building legislation, technical codes, and construction standards, opening up opportunities for senior roles with major construction and development companies or for self-employment as a consultant surveyor.

    Entry Requirements

    Recognised 4 year Bachelor degree equivalent to an Australian Bachelor degree

    4 year Bachelor degree - 4 point grading scale

    Successful completion of a recognised Bachelor degree (or equivalent qualification) in a related field (building, civil/structural engineering or architecture)

    OR Successful completion of a Bond University Graduate Diploma of Building Surveying.

    English Program Requirements

    English language proficiency requirements

    Bond's programs are taught and assessed in English, so depending on your educational background and citizenship, you may be required to provide evidence that your English language ability meets our requirements. This may include submitting results from an approved English Language Test taken in the past two years - you can see the required results for the most common approved tests below. There are other ways to demonstrate English language proficiency and gain entry into this program, including demonstrating prior study in English, or other qualifications. If your qualification does not meet the English language requirements then you will need to provide an English proficiency test for admission.

    Building surveyors are responsible for ensuring that buildings are constructed safely and are suitable to be occupied. To do this, building surveyors consider, consult, advise and enforce legislative requirements.     Quantity surveyor

    Quantity surveyors work with construction professionals including architects, engineers, and builders to prepare cost estimates and plans, audit projects, and manage costs and contracts for construction projects. Projected 13.8 per cent job growth in the next 5 years, with a median salary of between $100k and $140k in Australia according to Seek (2021).

    Quality controller

    Monitor and report on risk and support leaders to ensure regulatory obligations are met. Supports the implementation and on-going monitoring of the quality assurance and compliance to ensure risks are mitigated. Quality controller roles in Australia were typically advertised between $90k and $140k according to Seek (2021).

    Building inspector

    Building inspectors carry out inspections of commercial and residential buildings to ensure structures comply with laws and regulations. Inspections may be carried out prior, during or after building work has been completed, and help ensure that buildings are safe, structurally sound and accessible.
