    Build fundamental skills in system design, implementation, testing and documentation. Develop technical expertise in pen testing, blockchain and cyber forensics. Complement your cybersecurity expertise with transferable skills in entrepreneurship, professional practice and project management.

    By studying La Trobe's Master of Cybersecurity, you will:

    • master ethical hacking and defence techniques to evaluate the security of network configurations and how to defend network-based threats
    • learn a procedural language that identifies and analyses common coding practices that avoid security vulnerabilities

    The qualification awarded on graduation is recognised in the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) as Level 9 - Masters Degree.

    Successful completion of an Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent).

    240 credit point pathway (2 years)

    Successful completion of an Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent).

    OR

    Completion of the Postgraduate Qualifying Program

    180 credit point pathway – Cognate Entry (18 months)

    Successful completion of an Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) in computer science, information technology, or information systems.

    Any cases requiring academic judgement will be referred to the School for assessment.
