    The course aims to produce graduates with professional competence in the specialist area of event management. In addition, high-level general management competencies needed to develop or manage complex organisations involved in the production of public, corporate or other event types are developed.

    The course provides theories, models and practical case studies in order to understand the dynamic and complex nature of the events industry.

    To be eligible for admission to this course, applicants must meet the following criteria.

    Applicants must have the following:

    • Completed Australian bachelor's degree or higher qualification, or overseas equivalent, with more than 75% of all subjects completed at pass level (conceded pass not included)

    Applicants who do not meet the criteria above should consider applying for C06017 Graduate Diploma in Event Management or C11038 Graduate Certificate in Event Management.

    The English proficiency requirement for international students or local applicants with international qualifications is: IELTS Academic: 6.5 overall with a writing score of 6.0; or TOEFL iBT: 79-93 overall with a writing score of 21; or AE5: Pass; or PTE: 58-64 with a writing score of 50; or C1A/C2P: 176-184 with a writing score of 169.

    International students

    Visa requirement: To obtain a student visa to study in Australia, international students must enrol full time and on campus. Australian student visa regulations also require international students studying on student visas to complete the course within the standard full-time duration. Students can extend their courses only in exceptional circumstances.

      As a postgraduate student, you'll be responsible for covering your own tuition fees.

      • Indicative first-year tuition fee: $32,280
      • Indicative total tuition fee: $49,147

      You can choose to pay your fees upfront per session, or if you’re eligible, you can defer them using a government FEE-HELP loan. This loan helps you cover all or part of your tuition fees. Keep in mind that applications for this loan are specific to each course.

      Your tuition fees do not include:

      • The Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF), which supports student services and activities. If eligible, you can defer this fee using SA-HELP.
      • Textbooks, materials, and other course-related costs.

      As a recipient of the Australian Government’s Research Training Program (RTP) Fees Offset Scholarship, you do not have to pay tuition fees for up to the maximum period of candidature. However, even with this scholarship, you should expect ongoing costs that aren’t covered, like travel, training, and professional development. These costs can vary for each person, so it’s important to plan accordingly. Additionally, scholarships are available to help with your living expenses.
