    About

    Through this degree you will gain the skills needed to analyse the principles of cyber threat detection, analytics, incident response, and security operation planning.

    You will also learn how to critically evaluate and analyse evolving cyber security trends, while applying your knowledge of cyber security practices to assess risks and implement effective countermeasures.

    Academic entry requirements

    Successful completion of a bachelor’s degree in an IT-related discipline, or in a non-IT discipline with either a significant IT component or with relevant IT industry experience. The applicant's entire academic record and industry experience can be taken into consideration when assessing eligibility for the course.

    English language requirements

    Overall Academic IELTS band score of 6.0, with no band less than 6.0, or equivalent.

    The Master of Forensic Cyber Security will produce graduates who are able to: 
    •    Demonstrate a theory-based understanding of network security, cyber forensics, information warfare, applied cryptography, and information risk management. 
    •    Explain and analyse the principles of cyber threat detection, analytics, incident response, and security operation planning. 
    •    Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of specialist bodies of knowledge within the field. • Critically evaluate and analyse evolving cyber security trends. 
    •    Apply knowledge of cyber security practices to assess risks and implement effective countermeasures. 
    •    Understand the scope, principles, norms, accountabilities, and ethical parameters of cyber security practice. 
    •    Systematically apply established and emerging processes, tools, techniques, and resources to solve authentic cyber security problems. 
    •    Assess and communicate cyber security concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. 
    •    Cultivate a creative, innovative, and proactive demeanour in addressing cyber security challenges. • Collaborate effectively within a cyber security incident response team, demonstrating leadership and adaptability.

The application fee is not refundable under any circumstances and must be paid upfront for your application to be processed. To apply for credit transfer for previous studies, you must: Upload certified copies of all your official transcripts or results from your previous studies, plus copies of the subject syllabuses and grading system with your application. Formally request credit transfer when you apply. Eligibility for credit can only be assessed when full documentation has been provided. Credit must be approved in writing before you enrol, otherwise, you may not receive the credit. Applicants should not send original documents, as they will not be returned. Please note: Documents that are not in English need to be officially translated and submitted along with the copies in the original language.
