    About

    The Master of Information Technology is suitable for students who want to develop the technical efficiency to become a sought-after expert in a high-growth industry. It will provide you with the ability to apply a range of technological and programming concepts and tools to implement IT-related business solutions to industry problems. You will learn how to communicate complex technological problems, solutions and outcomes to diverse stakeholders. You will also be taught how to safeguard the privacy of data and information, create and manage databases and ensure the ethical handling of business information. The course will enable you to graduate with the skills to construct, manage and operate in diverse expert teams to oversee technological initiatives.

    Entry Requirements

    Overseas qualifications will be assessed for equivalence in Australia at the time of application using the Country Education Profiles (CEP) online tool. The academic entry requirements for our courses vary by nationality.

  • An Australian Bachelor Degree (or AQF Level 7 equivalent course);
    OR
  • An Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree (or AQF Level 6 equivalent course) plus evidence of a minimum of two years’ relevant industry experience.

    • English Program Requirements

    • an English test score using one of the following English language tests as approved by Kaplan. Proof of English language proficiency, evidenced by one of the tests listed in the table below, must be completed within two years prior to commencement of the course.
    Academic IELTS, including One Skill Retake : Overall 5.5 (with a minimum 5.0 in writing)
    PTE (Pearson Test of English Academic) : Academic Score of 50
    TOEFL iBT (Test of English as a Foreign Language) : 46
    KTE (Kaplan Test of English) : Score greater than 426 Overall for listening, reading and grammar, and B2 for speaking and writing
    Cambridge English: Advanced (Certificate in Advanced English) : 162
    Duolingo English Test : Overall score of 110
    OET (Occupational English Test) : A score of at least B for each test component
    General Certificate of Education (GCE) : GCE Ordinary Level – Grade C in English Language or English Literature GCE Advanced Subsidiary Level – Grade C in English Language or English Literature GCE Advanced Level – Grade D in English Language or English Literature

    Are you an International Student? Follow the steps below to complete your application to Kaplan Business School.

    Complete the application form online. Enrolment terms and conditions apply.

    Provide certified* copies of your:

    • Passport
    • High school certificates and transcripts
    • English proficiency documents e.g. IELTS test certificate or equivalent (if applicable)
    • Degree completion certificate and transcripts (if applicable)
    • Work experience details (if applicable)

    * Please note that these documents must be certified by a Kaplan Business School representative or authorised education agent, a Public Notary or a Justice of the Peace in Australia.

    STEP 3
    We will notify you after receiving your application whether you have been accepted or not. If accepted, you will receive an Offer of Admission to study.
    STEP 4

    To proceed with your enrolment, you will need to:

    • Login to online Applicant Portal
    • Submit the evidence required to meet the condition(s) outlined in the Offer (if applicable)
    • Carefully read your offer including Terms and Conditions
    • Accept the Offer and complete the payment in the Applicant Portal
    STEP 5
    Once you receive your electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCoE) from us you can proceed to apply for an Australian student visa.
