    About

The first two semesters are held in Freiberg, and the third is held at a partner university with a complementary programme. The location of the fourth semester depends on where the internship and the supervision of the Master's thesis takes place and whether the student follows a double degree programme. The first two semesters provide fundamental knowledge of modern economics, especially of developing and transition economies as well as knowledge in special fields of international management. In the third semester, students complement what they have learned in Freiberg at one of our partner universities in order to sharpen their focus on their individual interests. The final semester consists of a three-month internship with an integrated Master's thesis (or two 6 ECTS elective modules to replace the internship), written and supervised in Freiberg or at the partner university. Alternatively, the student can stay at a partner university in the event that they wish to participate in a double degree programme. All courses in Freiberg and at the partner universities are taught in English. Proficiency in the German language is not required. Students may also enrol in language courses offered at the partner universities. There are also double degree options. Students who participate in a double degree programme attend the partner university for one year and follow the Master's programme at both universities to earn two degrees.
