    About

    Overview

Achieving a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Curtin University means that you hold an internationally respected qualification from an elite global business school – recognised through triple accreditation by EQUIS, AACSB International and EFMD (Accredited MBA). Curtin is also respected as a signatory to the United Nations Principles for Responsible Management Education.

Our MBA not only gives you the fundamental skills in financial management and economics, but also in the business leadership, decision-making and organisational strategies that underpin sustainable business practices. These areas of expertise align with contemporary practices and challenges in industry and reflect the unpredictability of global business markets.

Curtin's MBA also gives you the opportunity to specialise in one of four areas of business expertise:

    • Business Administration: In this specialisation you’ll gain the ability to create and evaluate innovative ideas and strategise for unpredictable business environments.
    • Digital Finance: Learn about the blockchain technologies, digital currency, management strategies, market design, and governance and regulation involved in the transformation of financial markets.
    • Energy Transition: Gain advanced knowledge of oil, gas and energy management and learn how to adapt business strategies to energy sector changes.
    • Leadership: Explore the philosophy and ethics of leadership and current and future leadership challenges.

If you’re looking to step up from a technical career or switch careers, this MBA will give you the skills and confidence – as well as the knowledge, skills, theory and terminology – to progress your career.

Study with the University of Aberdeen
As part of the Aberdeen-Curtin Alliance, students studying the Business Administration or Energy Transition specialisations can study optional units online with the University of Aberdeen. This unique learning opportunity aims to connect entrepreneurs, strategic thinkers and change-makers in two of the world’s energy cities.

    How to Apply

    1. Gather your documents

Have your supporting documents to hand, and ensure they meet our guidelines. The documents may include certified copies of your qualifications, English language proficiency documents and supplementary forms for certain courses.

If your documents are not issued in English, an official translation from a recognised translation service must be provided.

    Recognised translation services

*Official translations are subject to review.

If you have undertaken previous study or work that matches the content of some of your Curtin course units, you may be able to obtain credit for recognised learning, which exempts you from studying those units.

    2. Submit your application

You can apply direct online through our Applicant Portal. You can access the Applicant Portal by:

    1. Navigating to the relevant course page
    2. Click ‘Apply now’
    3. When the pop-up window appears, select “Apply directly to Curtin University”.

If you want to package your course with a Curtin English course, you can submit your application with your course application documents to streamline the process.

    3. Accept your Curtin offer

If your application is successful, you will receive an offer that you will need to accept or reject.

If you accept your offer, you will receive a Confirmation of Enrolment – a document from Curtin that details your course, how long you will be studying the course, and the tuition fees. This document can be used for acquiring a student visa.

    4. Apply for your visa

Apply to the Australian government for your student visa. Gaining a student visa will allow you to participate in full-time study in Australia and work up to 40 hours in a fortnight. If you’re under 18 years of age, you must have approved accommodation and welfare arrangements in place before a visa can be issued.
