    Medical Systems Engineering (MSE)

    About

Based on the prior knowledge of engineering and natural sciences obtained during the Bachelor's degree, the Master's programme offers in depth studies of medical systems engineering, in particular medical technology, medical informatics, robotics and microsystems technology. Among others, the student can specialise and gain broad knowledge in the following fields: image and signal processing, reconstruction methods, machine learning, microsystems technology, neuroscience, biomechanics, fluid mechanic or computer aided surgeries. Additionally, the Master's programme comprises general courses in medical science, neuroscience and legal issues. Please check the module handbook for more detailed information. Due to the close contact to the Magdeburg University Hospital, the students have the extraordinary chance to take part in surgeries and see the daily clinical work, recognise existing problems and develop solutions that support or help the physician and/or patients.
