  • Requirements

    Entry Requirements

Certificate of General Secondary Education will not be considered for direct entry - study our International Foundation Programme instead. Please note: students completing King's International Foundation programme will not be able to progress onto our Dentistry programmes.

    English Program Requirements

To study at King's, it is essential that you can communicate effectively in English and are able to do so in an academic environment. You are usually required to provide certification of your competence in English before starting your studies.

    Career

    Employability

On successful completion of the joint MBBS degree, you will be eligible to apply to work in both the UK and Chinese healthcare systems. Eligibility to apply to the UK Foundation Training Programme is also subject to additional English Language and VISA requirements. After the joint programme receives GMC accreditation (see Course accreditation box above) your King's MBBS degree will be a primary medical qualification (PMQ). Holding a UK PMQ entitles you to apply for provisional registration with the General Medical Council (GMC), subject only to its acceptance that there are no Fitness to Practise concerns.

Although this information is currently correct, you should be aware that regulations in this area may change from time to time.

Your SUSTech Bachelor of Medicine degree will allow you to apply for training places in China. You then obtain the practicing physician certificate through the national standardised training programme and examination of resident physicians.
