    Overview At Columbus State University we offer a Modern Language and Culture - Spanish with Teacher Certification Track.  The department's philosophy emphasizes faculty-student contact outside the classroom and individual attention for our majors and minors.Our faculty's expertise encompasses a broad range spanning Latin American literature, Hispanic women's writing, Spanish and Latin American culture, Hispanic linguistics, and the use of technology in the Humanities. Our students can take classes at the Elementary and Intermediate levels in French, German, Japanese, and Latin. We also offer Elementary Arabic classes as well.Learning OutcomesGraduates will demonstrate:Students will demonstrate in the target language an Advanced-Low Proficiency level in speaking as defined by ACTFLStudents will demonstrate in the target language an Advanced-Low Proficiency level in writing as defined by ACTFLStudents will demonstrate in the target language an Advanced-Mid Proficiency level in reading or listening comprehension (the receptive skills) as defined by ACTFLStudents will demonstrate the ability to think critically by analyzing and interpreting cultural information, customs (i.e. literary, historical, political, etc), and artifacts of the regions where the target language is usedStudents in the Teacher Education Track will plan instruction based on standards and knowledge of studentsStudents in the Teacher Education Track will use a wide range of instructional strategies and differentiate instruction to help all students learn I want to find another Bachelor Course
