    Music Combined with Business

    About

Overview Stetson's School of Music is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music and offers a 6-1 student-faculty ratio, an international faculty, state of the art facilities and the opportunity to perform with award-winning ensembles. The School of Business Administration is accredited by AACSB International, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. It is housed in the Lynn Business Center and offers the latest technology to students, an award-winning sales program and the Roland George Investment Program, where students manage a real portfolio of millions of dollars. The students in the Music Combined with Business program of Stetson University enjoy all that the School of Music offers. The singers participate in choirs and voice lessons, the operas or musical theater productions. The instrumentalists take private lessons from expert faculty while playing in band, orchestra, jazz band or any number of chamber or specialized smaller ensembles. Conducting, music technology, career skills and more are standard courses taken by all music majors. You will even complete a senior recital with guidance from your applied music instructor through weekly lessons and performance classes. We tweaked the language and diction requirements for singers and the advanced theory sequence for instrumental majors to make room for the extra units in Business. For the MBA Track, you use your electives to prepare even further for the 5th year, so there is truly a business concentration alongside all your musical activities. Both you and your family will like this degree because in the complexity of today's world, you might not want to be an expert in just one field of study.Career OutlookThe demand for talent is always high, and students graduating with a Bachelor of Music degree, whether in composition, performance or theory, will discover career paths aligned to their specific talents and capabilities. Some students go on to more in-depth study in graduate programs, and some find their calling by bringing music to their communities and schools. The Career Insight tool is built on a national database of job openings, postings and requirements, but for many students in Stetson's School of Music, career connections are made during their course of study and through their practice and performance, and with the guidance of their faculty and colleagues. Approximately one-third of positions related to performing arts and teaching ask for a Bachelor's degree, and nearly half of all openings are for candidates with one to two years of experience — a good indication there is demand for music graduates. I want to find another Bachelor Course
The Music Combined with Business program of Stetson University, attracts some of Stetson's best students.
