About

Overview Graduates of the Nursing programme offered by the St. Clair College will work within the scope of nursing practice and in accordance with the regulations of the College of Nurses of Ontario. Nursing students will be able to care for individual clients or groups, including family members and significant others. Students will make clinical decisions and exercise judgement in giving care to clients. Graduates will be eligible to write the National Council Licensure Examination - Registered Nurse (NCLEX - RN) to achieve professional status of Registered Nurse in Canada. CareersThe current nursing shortage has resulted in numerous opportunities for graduates in a variety of health care settings: private homes, private practice, long-term care facilities, community health care agencies, hospitals and physicians’ offices. 1OSSD with 6 Grade 12 (U/M) courses including Grade 12 English (ENG4U) with a minimum of 65%, Chemistry (SCH4U) and Biology (SBI4U) with an overall average of 70% or better (with a minimum of 70% in both Chemistry and Biology) and Grade 12 Math (U) or (C) is required for admissions.OR the Pre-Health Sciences Pathway to Advanced Diplomas and Degrees certificate.
