    About

    You will receive an outstanding learning experience on our innovative Degree Apprenticeship programme. Occupational Therapy is an exciting and varied career. You will help people every day, making them more independent and improving their lives.

    You will combine academic studies with practical placements. This will give you the skills, knowledge, and attributes needed to register as an occupational therapist with the Health and Care Professions Council.

    Experienced occupational therapists will support you during your placements. You will work in at least four different practice settings. The course also includes learning away from the job to develop and enhance your skills.

    You will be part of the Occupational Therapy community at the university. This will give you opportunities for collaborative learning and interprofessional experiences.

    Requirements

    Entry Requirements

    Diploma from a technical / vocational or health college / institute with a GPA of 2.0/5 or 60-64%

    Successful completion of on year of appropriate study at a recognised KSA university with a GPA 2.5/5 (65-69%)

    Diploma from a technical / vocational or health college / institute with a GPA of 2.5/5 (65-69%)

    English Program Requirements

    • IELTS: 7.0 with no Component lower than 6.5

    Future careers

    Once you have completed your degree apprenticeship, most students take up a role as a registered Occupational Therapist at their employing organisation.

    You will also be able to apply for roles in a variety of settings. These include hospitals, GP practices, residential homes, social services, charities, schools and prisons. You can progress within the profession to work in specialist, advanced and leadership roles.

    The variety of work is one of the most exciting things about being an occupational therapist. You will work in multi-disciplinary teams in a range of settings, as well as seeing individual needs and conditions.
