    About

Effective Spring 2023 the Department of Occupational Therapy  will offer an Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD) pending final review and approval by Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) located at 6116 Executive Boulevard, Suite 200, North Bethesda, MD 20852-4929. ACOTE's telephone number, c/o AOTA is (301) 652-6611 and its web address is www.acoteonline.org. See the department website for more information: www.sjsu.edu/occupationaltherapy. The OTD program will be structured using a cohort model where students are admitted and progress through a sequenced program of study in an organized manner to support completion of the degree within three years of full time enrollment. This model fosters collaboration between students and faculty. The OTD degree is designed to prepare the student as an entry-level occupational therapist and seeks to support students as leaders and practitioner-scholars. The curriculum is designed using a variety of instructional methods to enhance content mastery. Although the majority of instruction will be face to face instruction, classes will include simulations, case presentations, involvement with the on campus faculty-run clinics and online instruction.

For a step-by-step guide on how to complete the Cal State Apply application for SJSU, visit our International Application Tutorial [pdf].

Note: An application fee is due at the time you submit your Cal State Apply application. This fee is non-refundable, even if your application is withdrawn or denied and only used for the applied term. Fee waivers are not available at this time.

Select 'Yes' for the question: Do you have or will you require an F-1 (student) or J-1 visa (exchange) to study the California State University (CSU)?
