Both digital and film based photography are essential areas of visual language. The course focuses on the development and extension of existing skills and knowledge in the production of photography for digital media and print. The course aims to develop visual skills and commercial applications for photography. Students will develop communication and professional practice skills. The modules are designed to be both inspiring and give hands on experience, ranging from Fashion, Editorial, Documentary, Portrait and Advertising. Visiting Guest Speakers from different genres of photography to share both experiences and advice.

To study Higher Education at Gloucestershire College, normally applicants will be required to have GCSE English and Mathematics grade 4 (C) or above (or equivalent). The College will consider Functional Skills Qualification in English and Maths at Level 2.
