    The BTEC Higher Nationals in Policing aims to develop students as professional, self-reflecting individuals that are able to meet the demands of employers in the policing sector and adapt to a constantly changing world. Successful completion of the qualification will widen access to higher education and enhance the career prospects of those who undertake them.

    Entry Requirements

    UCAS Tariff - 112 points
    Must be in a relevant subject such as Public Services or other related disciplines.

    GCSE/National 4/National 5 - 5 GCSES at C/4 or below including English and Mathematics will be required.
    A level - CCCC
    Must be in a relevant subject such as Public Services or other related disciplines.

    Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016) - DMM
    Must be in a relevant subject such as Public Services or other related disciplines.

    Access to HE Diploma - D: 15 credits M: 15 credits P: 15 credits
    Access to HE Diploma in a relevant subject such as (Public Services).Acheiving a minimum of 60 credits with 45 at level 3, with at least 15 credits at Distinction, 15 credits at Merit and 15 at Pass profile.

    English Program Requirements


    Students who are non-native English speakers, or who have not studied the final two years of school in English, but can demonstrate capability in English at a standard commensurate to IELTS 6.0, with a minimum of 5.5 being awarded on individual sections for a level 4, 5 or 6 qualification, will be considered as eligible to apply for the programme/course.
