One Elmhurst political science graduate, the Hon. William Bauer, currently serves as judge on the United States Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.Other alumni are working in the Illinois General Assembly, in state and local government offices, and in law offices. They’re serving in the Peace Corps, AmeriCorps and nonprofits and think tanks. They also attend some of the nation’s top graduate and law schools, including Penn State, Emory University, Northwestern University and the University of Chicago. With a political science degree from Elmhurst, the world is full of possibilities.But the rigor of the political science curriculum can be applied to any career or to daily life: It teaches students to speak and write clearly, think critically, analyze and synthesize information and data, understand complex societies, work and interact in a diverse community, and engage in the political world around them.
