The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine's (UNR Med) Post-baccalaureate (Post-bac) Certificate Program is an early assurance medical school admission program designed for individuals who require additional education in the sciences in order to demonstrate academic readiness for success in medical school. Students enroll in 32 undergraduate credit hours of lower and upper division science coursework within one academic year in addition to registration and completion of the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT).
Students within the UNR Med Post-bac Certificate Program must maintain an overall GPA of 3.5 or higher in the 32 undergraduate credit hours, and successfully complete the MCAT at or above the score threshold identified by the Admissions Executive Committee by the end of their program year.
Note: Students who are enrolled in this program may be eligible for Federal Financial Aid.
