PrepTec is a pre-study programme aimed at helping students prepare for a German language natural/applied sciences or engineering course of study at Furtwangen University or any other German university. This course will develop students' language abilities to a point at which they will be eligible to take the level C1 German language examination. It will also provide a foundation in fundamental mathematical and natural and applied science concepts in order to prepare students for further studies in these areas.
PrepTec is a preparatory programme in which students receive tuition and training in the following areas:
German language instruction: to support the best start possible at a university in Germany
mathematical foundations: an opportunity to reinforce mathematics at the tertiary level in German
orientation training for courses in mathematics, informatics, natural/applied sciences, and technology
intercultural training: how to adjust to life in Germany, learning about the cultural and social similarities and differences that will make a stay here all the more enjoyable and rewarding
learning strategies and coaching

Students applying for the PrepTec programme must have a recognised qualification that allows them to study at a German university.
