    About

    Study the Level 4, Level 5 and Level 6 Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) Diploma at the University of West London to achieve the globally recognised Chartered Masters Degree (MCIPS) which is approved by OFQUAL. If you wish to further your career in procurement, purchasing or sourcing in the private or public sectors, this course is essential for your career advancement into operational or junior management roles. Assessment for all our CIPS courses is computer-based. You can fit your studies alongside other commitments as you will be studying part-time (evenings and weekends). You will spend one year to pass each of the following diplomas: Diploma in Procurement and Supply ( Level 4) Advanced Diploma in Procurement and Supply ( Level 5 ) Professional Diploma in Procurement and Supply ( Level 6) Each diploma is a qualification in its own right. Where you are able to provide sufficient evidence of business experience (at an advanced level) a Masters Degree (MCIPS) will be granted to the holder by CIPS at the end of the three year period. You will be taught by experienced and fully qualified procurement professionals and legal specialists. As a CIPS Centre of Excellence, our pass rates are well above the national average.
    You will attend a combination of lectures, tutorials and practical exercises through a blended learning approach. It is necessary to complete all three diplomas unless you apply for exemption from modules or a level and it is granted by CIPS. CIPS Membership CIPS membership is mandatory for those taking CIPS qualifications. Become a member of CIPS at CIPS.org. Membership gives you professional development resources to support your studies and career. You are required to obtain a study text for each module you study. These texts or E-Books are to be obtained from CIPS bookshop, contact [email protected]. Assessment Our new computer-based exams are set and marked by CIPS. There are two exam formats: Constructive Response (CR) Constructive response questions require you to create and construct a response to a question, such as an essay by typing your response. These exams are three hours long. Objective Response (OR) These are single short questions that will require you to choose and type a response to the question where the correct answer(s) are predetermined. These exams are one and a half-hour long.

    Entry Requirements

    Applicants with the following qualifications will be considered for entry on an undergraduate degree:

    • International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma (from a minimum 25 points depending on course)
    • Diploma from community college, Intermediate Diploma or Associate Degree (Pass with 60%).
    • British/International A Levels (from a minimum 112 UCAS tariff points depending on course)
    • Second and final year entry of a bachelor's degree may be available for those with a Higher National Diploma (HND) from the UK with a merit profile

    English Program Requirements

    You need to meet our English language requirement - a minimum of IELTS 5.5 for each of the 4 individual components (Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening). We also accept other English language examination equivalents. Contact our International Office to find out more. You also need academic qualifications at the same level as UK applicants. In some countries where teaching is in English, we may accept local qualifications. Check for local equivalents. We offer pre-sessional English language courses if you do not meet these requirements.     Career

    This course is based on the CIPS Global Standard for Procurement and Supply, a comprehensive competency framework designed to enhance performance across an organisation.

    Successful completion of levels 4, 5 and 6, plus at least three years’ business experience in a responsible position leads to full membership of Chartered Institute of P&S and MCIPS status.

    Your studies will teach you how to handle all aspects of supply management across multiple sectors, using the latest thinking and having completed the courses and achieved MCIPS you will have built your strategic competency.

    On completion of the course you will be well placed to participate in the management of the procurement function in an organisation.

Our application form will ask you for some information about your previous qualifications or experience, references, and how we can contact you. In addition, you are required to submit a start-up idea pitch. This 500-word (max) document should clearly outline the following three aspects: a brief description of your business idea that you want to further develop during your MA studies in what capacity you have worked on the business idea so far (eg has this developed from your final year project during your undergraduate degree? Are you running the business already out of your living room? etc) where you expect the business to go by the end of the MA programme (specific objectives for the 12 month period). Please upload this document along with your online application. Based on your application form and the start-up idea pitch, you will be invited to attend a telephone interview.
