Designed to provide applicable skills to healthcare managers, nurses, medical practitioners, allied health practitioners, scientists, information systems practitioners, and informaticists; this certificate is foundational for anyone wanting to improve healthcare through data and virtual care.

    This course is not available to international students who are holders of an Australian student visa, for study onshore in Australia. This course is available to all other international students to study wholly online.

    Admission criteria

    To be considered for entry into this course, you must have:

    • An undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in any discipline, OR
    • At least five years of documented relevant work experience.

    Work experience relevant to this course may include roles such as healthcare managers, nurses, medical practitioners, allied health practitioners, scientists, information systems practitioners, and informaticists.

    English language requirements

    All applicants to the University of Melbourne must satisfy the English language requirements. This may be achieved in a number of ways, including recognised previous study taught and assessed entirely in English or an approved English language test. If you are from a non-English speaking background, the required standard of English for this degree is one of the following English proficiency test scores:
