Overview The Psychology program of the Bemidji State University provides students with unique opportunities to prepare for work in applied psychology and the human services at the Bachelor’s level. The major also offers unique opportunities for students to prepare for graduate programs leading to Master’s and Doctoral degrees in various fields of psychological practice and science. Many students choose the major to complete a general liberal arts degree or to prepare for work in fields other than psychology.Careers With a Bachelor’s DegreePsychology majors with a Bachelor’s degree can expect to find work after college, and many find satisfactory employment in human service organizations and other businesses. But, these students are likely to find limited opportunities for advancement. Psychology majors not planning to go to graduate school after college should consider a second major to increase their skills and opportunities for employment. The Psychology program of the Bemidji State University offers students two options for the major: the Bachelor of Arts (BA) and the Bachelor of Science (BS). There is no difference in requirements – both degrees to make it easier for students to pursue a double major.
