    Overview Mission StatementThe Psychology program of Framingham State University provides opportunities for students to study the domains of psychology and develop a skill set that includes critical and creative thinking, ethical reasoning, effective communication, collaborative engagement, and the use of the scientific method.  We also seek to engage students in transformative learning opportunities such that our graduates will embrace diversity as lifelong learners and socially responsible citizens of the commonwealth, the country and the world.Program GoalsDescribe key concepts, principles, and overarching themes in psychology.Interpret, design, and conduct basic psychological research.Apply ethical standards to evaluate psychological science and practice.Demonstrate effective writing for different purposes.Develop meaningful professional direction for life after graduation.The General Education RequirementAll students must satisfy a general education requirement consisting of ten (10) courses outside of the major department.
