    About

Overview The most accomplished students are those in the Public Administration (Mid-Career) degree offered by the Harvard Kennedy School. They come to HKS from across the United States and around the world, from a range of professional backgrounds and personal experiences, and are recognized for their valuable, individual contributions to the school’s intellectual community. As part of the program, students also enroll in the five-week Mid-Career Summer Program designed exclusively for mid-career professionals to build and renew important skills before beginning classes in the fall. The Master in Public Administration (Mid-Career) program is taught at Harvard Kennedy School. I want to find another Master Course Life after HKSHarvard Kennedy School develops and trains highly skilled public leaders who are committed to the public interest and to innovating solutions that can influence societies and improve lives. While at HKS, students are encouraged to define their professional goals with the support of the Office of Career Advancement, mentors, advisors, and each other. They come to the MC/MPA Program because they are anticipating a sector change, wanting to transition to a leadership role, or looking to augment their skill set.Graduates of the MC/MPA Program are innovators and leaders in public, private, and nonprofit sectors worldwide. They have gone on to become heads of state, cabinet ministers, nongovernmental organization directors, military leaders, editors, district attorneys, central bank governors, chief executives, and senior-level government officials. Others have been elected mayors, senators, members of parliament and congress, and state and local officials.Regardless of their chosen career path, MC/MPA graduates continue to lead change – although their leadership often is exhibited on a larger scale, in more innovative ways, with a more profound impact.
The one-year Public Administration (Mid-Career) degree offered by the Harvard Kennedy School is an intensive 8-credit program that enhances the knowledge and skills of established, high-performing professionals who are looking to move up in their public service careers or transition from the private sector to leadership positions in the public or nonprofit sectors.
