    About the course Our Quantum Computing extended major prepares you for specialised roles in both traditional and quantum computing. In this course, you'll receive comprehensive education in quantum computing principles and skills, including quantum algorithms, computer systems, high-performance computing, physics, mathematics, cybersecurity and philosophy. Upon graduation, you'll have the ability to evaluate the efficiency of traditional and quantum algorithms, be able to design and implement robust computer programs for both classical and quantum systems, work effectively in computing project teams, and be able to communicate their findings effectively. This specialisation is designed to position you at the forefront of quantum technology, addressing market demand and fostering innovation.

    ADMISSION REQUIREMENT English competency English is the language of instruction and assessment at UWA and you will need to meet the English language requirements of the University to be eligible for a place.     Domestic students applying for Graduate Entry Medicine must apply to GEMSAS.

    If you are applying for a combined coursework and research professional psychology program, you will need to apply via the School of Graduate Research.

    If you're an international student, you may wish to apply through an agent.

    If additional information is required:

    • Admissions will contact you if any additional information is needed to process your application. You can upload any additional documentation to your application via the applicant portal.
    • If you have applied for a course that requires an interview, Admissions will contact you close to the interview period.
    • If you have elected to be considered for any credit transfer, this will be reviewed by the Admissions team. This does not preclude you from applying for additional credit transfer after enrolment.
