Science and Technology Studies – Economies, Governance, Life

    About

Concept This English-language international research MA programme introduces students to “Science and Technology Studies” (STS). STS is an interdisciplinary endeavour addressing the reciprocal shaping of scientific expertise, technology development, economies and contemporary societies. Students learn to conceptualise science and technology as social and material practices. The MA programme also draws connections across disciplinary boundaries, linking cultural anthropology with sociology and human geography. Exemplary fields in which students can specialise include global economies, the development of digital technologies, infrastructures, governance, human-environment relations and biomedicine.
