It makes sense: Effective leaders are effective communicators. Their speeches keep us on the edge of our seats. They tell stories that capture our imagination. When they share their ideas, we understand, and were inspired. Their goals become our goals.

With a strategic communication major from Calvin, you'll become that kind of leader.

In your classes here, you examine every facet of human communication. Consider the ethics of argumentation. See how methods of persuasion have been wielded for both good and ill. Craft a great speech, from a catchy opener to a satisfying close. Study fields as diverse as film production, public relations, leadership, and photography.

When you graduate, you'll have the knowledge and practice you needand the perspective of learning in a Christian context. That means you'll be confident in your ability to be a compelling leader, no matter what field you choose to go into.

• will have graduated from a high school in the United States
• will have graduated from an international school that follows a U.S. high school curriculum
• will have graduated from an international school where English is the primary language of instruction
• will be transferring from another U.S. college or university where s/he has earned less than one year of credit
• have attended a Canadian high school and have cumulative average marks from grades 9-12 below 75%
