This German language course offers a variety of conversation exercises and classroom discussions as well as up-to-date reading and listening comprehension exercises covering numerous topics relevant to economics. These are, for example, such topics as banking, marketing, stock markets and business cycles. These topics are combined with realistic grammar and vocabulary training. The language course will be complemented by exercises in business correspondence as well as presentations in the field of business management and will introduce you to the requirements of the "PrÃ¼fung Wirtschaftsdeutsch" (PWD). The lessons follow the aims of communicative competence of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) in an entertaining and inspiring way and will assist your independent learning process. The language course takes place from Monday to Friday in the mornings. Each morning, there are four teaching units (45 minutes each). In the afternoon, you can choose from seminars on different current issues in the areas of cultural and social sciences, e.g. history, literature, film, environment, European policy and interculturality. You can further practise your skills in the self-study area of our language laboratory. A graded certificate will be issued to all participants at the end of the course. It will include your individual language level according to the CEFR as well as your ECTS credits.
