The Certificate of Graduate Study in Urban Health Disparities provides a sequence of courses for those who wish to work in a variety of settings, geared toward community health advocacy and leadership or other positions in non-profit organizations, hospitals, business, community health organizations, governmental agencies, non-governmental organizations, research and advocacy groups, faith-based institutions, and educational institutions. The program's focus on health care inequity, health care access, and social justice issues will enhance students' marketability for leadership positions in organizations seeking individuals with social action and community-health knowledge. The Urban Health Research Studio experience can be an applied community-based field experience (whenever possible) or a pure research endeavor with Rowan University faculty members.

Entry Requirements
- Application fee: $65 (USD) non-refundable
*There are no waivers available. - College Transcript and Copy of Original Degree – If you have completed more than one degree, all academic credentials should be submitted. Additionally, if your document is not translated to English a certified English translation is required.
- Standardized English language test score – a TOEFL minimum score of 70, IELTS minimum score of 6.0, PTE minimum score of 50 or Duolingo test minimum score of 120 for traditional admissions.

- Recommendations – a minimum of 2 are required for Master’s programs, and a minimum of 3 are required for Doctoral (Ph.D.) programs.
- Statement of professional objectives – Provide reasons for pursuing the program applied. Describe how you will use this program to reach your career goes, and educational goals beyond the master’s level if applicable. Students should also identify personal qualities that they want the committee to see in them, such as leadership, concerns for others, talent, etc.
- You can upload the required documents to your application portal once you submit your application. Additional items may be required depending on the program applied.
