    Overview The Urban Teaching Residency program of University of Pennsylvania offers two tracks-- one with Pennsylvania certification (Every Teacher Certified, or ETC) and one without (Urban Professionals Program, or UPP).  The former requires a series of courses related to pedagogy and development; the latter is a hybrid online program that allows educators to broadly explore education in high-needs contexts.  Both tracks were designed to be completed while working full-time.
