    Overview To complement the required coursework, writing majors also travel to hear writers read their work and attend conferences where writers discuss the act of writing. Mount Union students also have the chance to participate in public opportunities to read and receive feedback on their own work. CareersGraduates with a Writing degree from University of Mount Union leave the program prepared for careers in a variety of professions within many different fields. 96% of writing majors from the classes of 2009-2014 were able to start a degree-required career or were accepted to graduate school within 6 months of graduation.     The University of Mount Union’s Bachelor of Arts in Writing program combines both creative genres (poetry, fiction, creative non-fiction) and professional writing in order to develop well-rounded scholars. Students also read and analyze the work of other writers to understand their thought processes and strategies.
