Undergraduate degrees

Qualification	Details
Tawjihiyah	Students who have followed the national curriculum (Tawjihiyah) are advised to complete a Foundation Certificate at University of Liverpool International College or an equivalent foundation programme.
A levels, International Baccalaureate Diploma, SATs	Students offering A levels, the International Baccalaureate Diploma or SATs can apply for direct entry to year one of undergraduate programmes.

Don't meet our entry requirements for undergraduate?

If you have good high school grades but don't meet our entry requirements, don't worry. You could apply for a place on a Foundation Certificate. These courses are delivered on campus at the University of Liverpool International College.

Successful completion of a Foundation Certificate, at the required level and with good attendance, will guarantee your place on your chosen University of Liverpool undergraduate degree.

Master's courses

Qualification	Details
Academic	We require a Bachelor's degree from a recognised insitution with a minumum grade of 2.5 out of 4, 3 out of 5, or 70%. Some of our courses do require higher entry requirements. See individual course pages for full details.

Don’t meet our master’s entry requirements?

If you hold a bachelors' degree or equivalent but don't meet our entry requirements, don't worry. You could apply for a place on a Pre-Master's course.

These courses are delivered on campus at the University of Liverpool International College. Successful completion of a Pre-Master's, at the required level and with good attendance, will guarantee your place on your chosen University of Liverpool master's degree.

Postgraduate research

Qualification	Details
Academic	Each application is assessed on its own merits, although students will be expected to hold both a bachelor's and a master's degree. Previous exposure to research or thesis writing is highly desirable.

To study at the University of Liverpool, you'll need to show you meet our English language requirements.

We accept a variety of international English language tests and country-specific qualifications you can use to demonstrate your English language ability. We also offer Pre-Sessional English courses if you need to improve your English language skills.

Cambridge IGCSE First Language English 0500

Grade C overall, with a minimum of grade 2 in speaking and listening. Speaking and listening must be separately endorsed on the certificate.

Cambridge IGCSE First Language English 0990

Grade 4 overall, with Merit in speaking and listening

Cambridge IGCSE Second Language English 0510/0511

0510: Grade B overall, with a minimum of grade 2 in speaking. Speaking must be separately endorsed on the certificate. 0511: Grade B overall.

Cambridge IGCSE Second Language English 0993/0991

0993: Grade 6 overall, with a minimum of grade 2 in speaking. Speaking must be separately endorsed on the certificate. 0991: Grade 6 overall.

Cambridge ESOL Level 2/3 Advanced

176 overall, with no paper below 162

International Baccalaureate English A: Literature or Language & Literature

Grade 5 at Standard Level or grade 5 at Higher Level

Career

Careers and employability

Employability is embedded into the Zoology BSc (Hons) programme and can be the necessary stepping stone into a successful career in many sectors such as government agencies, animal charities and welfare groups, wildlife parks and conservation projects. Alternatively you may choose to opt to study for a Masters or PhD or Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Veterinary Science.
