Our 3-year degree is designed to be taken full-time or the equivalent part-time and will give you a thorough grounding in business skills alongside more specific topics dealing with human resource management. As a student at our School of Business, you will also benefit from our job-focussed approach, which includes regular guest speakers, field trips and internships at leading companies.
You will study subjects such as Human Resource Development, Change Management, Mediation and Dispute Resolution and develop the skills necessary to work in the field of human resources. As part of your degree, you will be required to undertake 150 hours of practical experience in the workplace – these placements are a significant preparation for your life after university.
Human Resource Management can be studied as a stand-alone degree or as part of a Bachelor of Commerce. Graduates are accredited with the Australian Human Resources Institution and often gain employment in private enterprises, government agencies and the not-for-profit sector.
