    About

Understand the world around us and how it works

Science is about asking new questions and then answering them. Scientists are right at the heart of understanding the way our universe and world works, building new technologies, managing our environment, and improving our health. The skills and networks you develop while studying will make you a skilled and employable graduate ready to contribute solutions to the complex challenges we face.

Complete both programs in only one extra year of study and graduate with two degrees, increasing your in-demand skills and employability in broad and varied areas such as environmental and climate science, pharmaceuticals and biomedical research, geoscience, physics and engineering, and science communication and policy.

Bachelor of Science (Advanced) students are encouraged to consider concurrent enrolment in the Bachelor of Applied Data Science program.

A career in science is increasingly data-driven. From climate modelling to biomedical research, the ability to manage, interpret, and visualise data is essential. By combining a science major with the Bachelor of Applied Data Science, students gain advanced data analysis and visualisation skills, confidence in programming and database management, and tools for evidence-based decision-making.

    Concurrent Enrolment

Tailor the program to suit your interests. You’ll be able to choose from 11 diverse majors. There’s flexibility to pick from a wide range of electives, or pursue a double major.

Join a high-achieving cohort. As an advanced science student you will have the opportunity to join research teams across the institution and learn from leading scientists. You’ll begin the process of establishing the professional networks that will be critical throughout your career through authentic opportunities to work in and with industry while you study.
