    Learn to meet the special and inclusive support needs of children and young people.

    This program will prepare you to successfully meet the needs of children and young people with disability and/or additional need in education settings.

    Learn to create supportive learning environments, and enhance your expertise in disability and additional needs through examination of current research, reflection on practice, and collaboration with experienced professionals in the field. Whether you are in education or allied health, this program will enhance your work in teaching and learning, support, curriculum and pedagogy, and working with families.

    what you will study

    Choose four courses, from a selection of eight, that will support your skill development across a range of disability support areas. These include:

    • Policy, administration and collaboration in special and inclusive education,
    • Challenging behaviour and positive support,
    • Educating students with developmental diversity,
    • Critical reflections in special and inclusive education settings.

    The Graduate Certificate in Special and Inclusive Support is a pathway to the Master of Special and Inclusive Education with a specialisation in General Special Education.

    English Program Requirements

    Applicants who do not speak English as a first language must demonstrate that they meet the University's English proficiency requirement. Further information regarding English language proficiency requirements can be found at the English Language Proficiency for Admission Policy.

    In the application portal, you can enter the program you wish to study and upload relevant documents needed as part of your application. It is recommended you submit your application a minimum of 12 weeks before your intended semester of trimester start date.

    For graduates with a prior degree in an allied health related field – you can be part of a brighter future in community or disability support services.
