Elphege Bernard-Tran, Project Coordinator, Nova Scotia Community College

"As a Deaf woman and member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I understand the vital importance of information access, particularly how systems are designed for inclusion. My personal experiences with systemic barriers have fueled my commitment to equity. My research explores the intersection of transparency and accessibility within AI ethical standards. I chose the PhD in Information because of its interdisciplinary approach and the ability to challenge traditional narratives."
