    About

As a marine engineer, you will be responsible for the operation of the ship’s propulsion plant. As the engineering officer of the watch you will operate, maintain, and troubleshoot the engine room machinery and associated systems.

When the program and required sea-time are completed, you'll be eligible to write the Transport Canada Marine Engineering Examinations. In addition, you will have exemptions to the Transport Canada Exams up to and including 1st Class Engineer. This allows you to progress in the marine transportation industry to a senior position relatively quickly.

You'll exit the program with a strong background in marine engineering technology. Authentic sea experience, coupled with proficiency in machinery maintenance and knowledge of ship construction and stability, will promptly set you apart from your competitors.
