    About

    • The course offerings will cover a wide range of OHS issues seen from a broadly interdisciplinary perspective, with a focus on the history and social science of OHS, workplace organization, epidemiology, treatment and prevention of occupational injuries and diseases, ergonomics and occupational hygiene.

    • The program is offered through either full-time or part-time study. To complete the program, a student must complete 24 credit hours of coursework, including the completion of a capstone research paper in OHS 6001.

    Entry Requirements

    • Second class Bachelor's degree in an area of study relevant to occupational health and safety, or in medicine, nursing, occupational/physical therapy, two letters of reference, and, for applicants whose prior university instruction was not in English, demonstration of English language proficiency. Minimum TOEFL scores are: 580 for the paper-based test; 237 on the computer-based test; or 92 on the Internet-based test. The minimum IELTS score is an overall band score of 7.0. The minimum MUNTEL score is an overall band score of 70.

    • Consideration is also given to applicants without a post-secondary degree who have more than 10 years of work experience in occupational health and safety.
