    About Master of Information Systems

    Learn to improve organizational effectiveness by using business analytics to support operational and strategic decision making in a variety of business disciplines. You will gain valuable skills in statistics, communicating analytic findings, predictive business analytics, business decision analytics, data visualization, data wrangling and data management. This course based major gives you knowledge of popular tools and techniques and opportunities to apply them to develop a portfolio to showcase your abilities, including an experiential project where you can apply your knowledge to real world problems or opportunities. 

    Students in the Information Systems major can only pursue the Business Analytics concentration. The Information Systems area does not offer the thesis route in the MSc program. Students with a major in any business discipline or management can be considered for the information systems major. 


     Project pathway

    The Business Analytics concentration (BANA) blends coursework and a culminating experiential, applied project.
