    The Interdisciplinary Master’s program in Disability Studies examines the social – rather than the physical or psychological – determinants of the experience of disability, shifting the emphasis from a medical, prevention and treatment model to a social, cultural and political one.

    Admission requirements

    The following are minimum requirements to be considered for entry into the Interdisciplinary Master’s in Disability Studies program. Meeting these requirements does not guarantee acceptance into the program.

    To be considered for admission into the Interdisciplinary Master’s in Disability Studies, you must have a minimum of:

    • A four-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized college or university with a minimum 3.0 average in the last 60 credit hours of study.

    Please note: Students who wish to pursue the Master of Science in Disability Studies must hold a Bachelor of Science degree.

    In addition to the admission requirements described here, all applicants must meet the minimum admission and English language proficiency requirements of the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.

    Minimum score required : Pass Level 5/AEPUCE (Academic English Program for University and College Entrance) with a minimum of 65% overall

    Minimum score required : 6.5 overall
