Admission requirements
The following are minimum requirements to be considered for entry into the Soil Science (PhD) program. Meeting these requirements does not guarantee acceptance into the program.
Admission requirements are those of the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.
Normally the completion of a Master’s degree or equivalent from a recognized university and a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or equivalent in the last two years of full-time university study is the minimum requirement for admission to the PhD program.
For a complete list of admission requirements, please visit the Graduate Studies Regulations section of the Academic Calendar.
In addition to the admission requirements described here, all applicants must meet the minimum admission and English language proficiency requirements of the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.
Applicants can be conditionally admitted into a program if they are admitted into the English Language Centre’s Intensive Academic English Program (IAEP) Level 5/AEPUC entrance requirements. Proof of this may be submitted in the form of an admission letter from the English Language Centre. The AEPUCE program must be completed prior to starting their Master’s program.
